COVID-19 Precautions – Reimposed restricted visits to facility

Dear Valued Resident Representatives

Since our last update dated 29 June 2020 to provide an update on visitor access to the facility, the State Government declared the reimposition of Stage 3 to specific postcodes (and therefore suburbs) effective midnight 1 July 2020 to 29 July 2020.

As a result of the declaration and the fact that Kalyna Care is surrounded by and in close proximity of a number of the postcodes (and therefore suburbs), there has been an urgent review resulting in changes to visitor access as follows:

Effective from midnight 1 July 2020 to 29 July 2020, with the exception of endof-life support and compassionate grounds, of which identified families have been notified:

Key points:

  1. There will be no visitors allowed during weekends at this stage commencing Saturday 4 July 2020.
  2. All visitors from the listed postcodes should not visit at any time, including for ‘Air-Lock’ visits.
  3. Weekday ‘In-Person’ visitors will be requested to confirm their principal place of residence postcode on the entry-screening form.

Below are the postcodes declared for Stage 3 restrictions:

  • 3012 -Brooklyn, Kingsville, Maidstone, Tottenham, West Footscray
  • 3021 -Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans
  • 3032 – Ascot Vale, Highpoint City, Maribyrnong, Travancore
  • 3038 – Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Lakes, Watergardens
