Our residents feel at home at Kalyna Care. As a community caring for older Victorians, we work together to foster a sense of belonging which is essential to the health and wellbeing of the people we care for. Residents feel happier, willingly contributing to daily activities, and participating in daily life just like they would in their own home.<\/p>

We are a not-for-profit aged care organisation caring for the elderly since 1984, delivering compassionate and personalised services with a special emphasis on European traditions. While many of our traditions are Ukrainian, we embrace the cultures of all our residents from especially the Slavic cultures of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and other European countries.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Directors oversee the principal activities of Kalyna Care – being the provision of aged care services to the community using self-generated and federal funds.<\/p>

These principal activities assist in achieving the short-term and long-term objectives of Kalyna Care, by:<\/p>

  • enabling Kalyna Care to continue to be the provider of choice for the Ukrainian and broader multicultural community<\/li>
  • allowing Kalyna to continue to embrace its Ukrainian heritage and remain true to the vision set by our founding members<\/li>
  • providing non-financial outcomes in response to funding body agreements<\/li>
